Basic physics  stops all science.

[ All applied fields stop progressing by quantum mechanics. ]

(Fig.1)  Schrödinger equation ( DFT ) is useless.

Quantum mechanics was invented in old 1920s, and physicists still struggle to apply it in other science fields in vain.

The only tool of quantum mechanics is Schrödinger equation, which is useless, it cannot handle multi-electron atoms even using computers.

Unless we know the precise mechanism of basic atomic interactions, we cannot expect the progress in applied fields such as molecular biology and medicine.

Actually, NO current medical researchers use useless quantum mechanics which prevents us from curing fatal disease.

 

Quantum mechanics is useless, forever.

(Fig.2)  NO exact solution → choose fake solution in quantum mechanics.

The only quantum mechanical tool = Schrödinger equation cannot solve multi-electron atoms.

They just choose fake approximate solutions which gives convenient energy values.  We prove Schrödinger equation never has true atomic solution except hydrogen.

Density functional theory (= DFT ) is much worse than original Schrödinger equation.  DFT uses not only fake solution but also fake functional.

The current basic physics cannot predict atomic behavior, which prevents all other applied fields from progressing !

 

Where does our science stop ?

[ Experimental data → setting real atomic model is needed. ]

(Fig.3)  Quantum mechanics with NO real concepts stops science !

We already have the technology to distinguish and manipulate each "single atom" using atomic force microscopy.

But physicists cannot proceed to the next step to manipulate "several atoms" due to useless quantum mechanical model.

After we get the information of each single atom using atomic force microsope, we should set some atomic model based on the data to proceed to multi-atoms.

When preparing basic atomic model, we have to rely on some "real things" such as separated electrons, but quantum mechanics contains NO real things.

It just gives vague electron cloud and wavefunctions which physical precise meaning is still unkown.

In condensed matter and solids including almost infinite atoms, computing by original Schrödinger equation is far more impossible.

So physicists forcedly replaced multi-electron Schrödinger equation by one-electron DFT form which includes artificial fake potential.

There are NO restrictions in choosing this fake potential.  You can pick up any form of fake potential Vxc out of infinite choices !

No matter what new "fake potential" is artificially invented, someone will always find a case where it fails ( this p.17 ).

DFT has NO ablity to predict any physical phenomena, so useless and meaningless.  DFT is basically an "empirical" method ( this p.23 )

 

The current science has stopped its progress !

[ Physicists still keep using useless computing methods forever. ]

(Fig.5)  Now, almost all applied physics depends on useless DFT method.

One-electron hydrogen atom is the only one in which Schrödinger equation can be applied.  Almost all other applied physics depends on DFT.

This is the reason why the current condensed matter physics is useless, depending only on unreal quasipalrticles.

Physicists use this DFT method only for publishing their papers in science journals, NOT for practical use !
