Quantum computers in satellites are fake, useless.

Photon quantum computer is useless

A photon quantum computer aboard a satellite detecting only 3 fragile photons (= only 3 bits ) is useless, still Not a computer, contrary to hypes.

(Fig.1)  Photon quantum computer is impractical forever due to massive photon loss and errors.

The first quantum computer into space is fake, hype, Not a quantum computer.

The alleged first (photonic) quantum computer on a satellite launched by SpaceX is useless, still Not a quantum computer, contrary to overhyped news.

The 8th and 10th paragraphs of this hyped news (8/1/2025) say
"This device in particular is a photonic quantum computer, which uses individual photons (= just weak light ) —... A qubit,.. can be a 1 or 0 "

"it still highly experimental tech with a whole lot unrealized potential and few applications outside of a laboratory.... no one has yet achieved clear quantum supremacy, a point where a quantum computer can perform calculations that a classical one can't."  ← still No real quantum computer advantage.

↑ All these overhyped news intentionally avoids writing about what this photon quantum computer in the satellite can do in detail, which means their alleged quantum computer is useless, able to do nothing.

Photon quantum computer (in a satellite) is impractical forever, able to detect only a few photons or qubits with high error rate.

Photon quantum computer with only 3 error-prone qubits (= one qubit can take only 0 or 1 value ) is far from a practical quantum computer needing millions of qubits.

Even the latest alleged photon quantum computer by the same scientists as the above satellite news (= Philip Walther in university of Vienna ) is impractical, still Not a quantum computer.

This P.Walther's paper's p.4-Discussion-p.4-left-last-paragraph~right (7/20/2025) says
" the heralded three-photon Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state (= detecting just 3 photons or 3 qubits or 3 bitstring = 000 or 111, which is still Not a computer )

"Thanks to the high rate of the generated multiphoton source, we were able to perform three-qubit overcomplete quantum state tomography, reaching fidelities up to F=0.727 (= meaning error rate is very high = 27.3% in detecting just 3 photons or 3 qubits, which is useless )"

↑ So this first quantum computer in a satellite can just detect only 3 fragile photons (= weak light ) or 3 qubits (= one qubit can take only 0 or 1 value, so still Not a computer needing millions of qubits, this-4th-paragraph ).

Today's overhyped quantum computers are far from real computers, contrary to fake news.
