A diplomat attending the conference from the Pacific island nation of Tuvalu has made himself heard.
- 太平洋の島国ツバルからその会議に参加している外交官が、意見を述べました。
Foreign Minister Simon Kofe urged delegates to do something about rising seas while standing in the ocean.
- サイモン・コフェ外相は、海の中に立ちながら、（各国の）代表者たちに海面上昇について対処するよう強く求めました。
"In Tuvalu, we are living the realities of climate change, sea level rise, as you stand watching me today at COP26. We cannot wait for speeches when the sea is rising around us all the time. Climate mobility must come to the forefront. We must take bold alternative action today to secure tomorrow."

Kofe says residents are preparing for the worst-case scenario, where their nation disappears. He spoke on what used to be dry land. The video has gone viral on social media.

Experts say by the end of this century Tuvalu could be under water. Kofe warned children now could be the last generation to grow up on the islands.
