Moving now to Oslo, where two journalists from the Philippines and Russia have been named the winners of this year's Nobel Peace Prize.

"The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided to award the Nobel Peace Prize for 2021 to Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov for their efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, which is a precondition for democracy and lasting peace."

Maria Ressa is the co-founder of Rappler, a digital media company for investigative journalism.

Dmitry Muratov is one of the founders of independent newspaper Novaja Gazeta. The Nobel Committee describes it as having a fundamentally critical attitude towards power in Russia.
