CHINESE HOLIDAY TRAVELERS MUST TAKE PCR TESTS

China is requiring all its citizens to take PCR tests before traveling to their hometowns during next month's Lunar New Year holidays. More than 1.7 billion people are expected to travel within the country.
- 中国政府は自国民全てに対し、来月の旧正月の連休に帰省する前にＰＣＲ検査を受けるよう義務づけています。１７億人以上が国内を移動すると見込まれています。
Authorities are requiring people who travel to take PCR tests every week. They must also report their conditions to local authorities for two weeks after arriving at their destinations.
- 当局は移動する人々に対し、ＰＣＲ検査を毎週受けるよう義務づけています。また、帰省先に到着後２週間は、地元当局に健康状態を報告しなければなりません。
Pharmacies are being asked to report anyone who has purchased anti-fever medication within two hours.
- 薬局に対しては、解熱剤を購入した人を２時間以内に報告することが求められています。
The announcement comes as the health authorities said on Tuesday the number of new coronavirus cases in the country had topped 100 for eight days in a row.

And on Wednesday, Beijing confirmed its first case of the virus variant found earlier in Britain. That prompted a call for more than 24,000 people to stay at home.
