This title "repulsive photon" is fake news. They just excited atomic electrons by light and those electrons (= Not lights ! ) repel each other.
They treat this excited electron by light as fictititous quasiparticle exciton- polariton, which are just nonphysical math symbol with No concrete figure ( this p.3, this p.5 )
Old quantum mechanics needs to make up fictitious quasiparticles with fake mass and charge to explain experimental results.
What is this fake "repulsive photon" useful for ?
The last of this news just says "Experiments could help to understand the theoretical models ?" ← still useless, nothing realized.
This research also uses unreal quasiparticle, exciton and uses vague phrases "that might enable .. ?" ← still useless, nothing realized.
This study is useless, too, just says some material with unreal quasiparticle could be future quantum computing (= imaginary target )

Quantum mechanics is useless, so it needs to create "imaginary target = quantum computer" to deceive taxpayers and governments.
No progress in research on fictional quantum computer, which is said to be faster (← No proof ! ) using parallel-world computing.
If you carefully read each quantum computer news, you will notice they make No progress, just using misleading phrases to get your hopes up.
For example, "Quantum computer will process .. ?", "The potential computing revolution ?", "They could be an important .. ?", "for future quantum device ?" ← still useless, nothing realized.

They just created two-energy states in artificial superconducting atoms, and associate those two energy states with a dead and alive cat superpositon which has No proof.

Every experiment showed light is wave, Not a photon particle.
If a photon exists, a radio-wave photon is bigger than 1000 meters ( in wavelength ) ? ← impossible !
They treat coherent light as fictitious "photon". "Coherence" means lights with the same wavelength and phase, which is wave ( Not a particle ) property of light.
What is this imaginary "photon" useful for ?

This news uses "poem"-like, unscientific title "scientists 'hear' the quantum world ?", and just says "discovery could aid .." ← still useless, nothing realized.
They just illuminated some material with light, and try to describe the phenomena with nonphysical photon and phonon, which are just math symbols ( this p.7, this p.2 ).
This research just uses visible and infrared light, which are "wave", Not photons.
Entangement (= faster-than-light communication !? ) was fabricated by academia only for getting research funds, entanglement itself can do nothing, so useless.
