Hybrid quantum computers are fake
(Fig.1) Fake news hides the fact that quantum computer's machine learning is useless, conducted only by a classical computer.
The 2nd, 4th, last paragraphs of this hyped news (7/29/2025) say
"developed a quantum machine learning technique — a blend of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing principles — that could change how microchips are made." ← overhyped fake news
"Quantum machine learning is a hybrid approach that combines classical data with quantum computing methods." ← Hybrid quantum computers are just classical computers with No quantum advantage
"These findings demonstrate the potential (= still useless ) of [quantum machine learning =] QML for effectively handling high-dimensional, small-sample regression tasks in semiconductor domains"
↑ This research paper (= this-3rd-paragraph ) ↓
p.3 used only 5 (impractical) qubits (= one qubit can take 0 or 1 value, so still Not a quantum computer )
p.9-right-1st-paragraph says "QKAR Model: All QML (= quantum machine learning ) experiments were conducted on a classical simulator (Qiskit Aer) running on local hardware. While real quantum hardware was Not used"
↑ So this overhyped quantum computer's machine-learning or AI was just classical computer's simulation, No real quantum computers (= too error-prone ) were used in this research, so No quantum advantage.
