↑ So this research focuses only on keeping about 6100 atomic qubits unstably-trapped in laser (= lifetime is only 23 minutes ) without any quantum computation needing two-qubit gate operation connecting different qubits.

In 2025, Caltech's team led by Manuel Endres created the impractical 6100 neutral atomic qubits (= each atomic two energy levels are used as a qubit's 0 or 1 states ) trapped in laser light with No quantum computation ( this-p.3-left-2nd-paragraph ) nor link between two atomic qubits.
Now in 2026, the same Caltech team created only 35 (impractical) neutral atomic qubits barely linking two qubits with a lot of errors and atomic loss that cannot be corrected, which means neutral atomic qubit technology is deadend, rather regressing.

The above same paper's p.5-Fig.2 (= middle, shot discard % ) shows -- Errors
this fake Shor's algorithm with only 4 ~ 6 qubits discarded erroneous results (= 10 ~ 80 % results were discarded without error correction ), which is too high error rate to be practical.
As a result, today's quantum computers and neutral atomic qubits are useless, too error-prone with easily-lost atoms.
