☆ＮＯ５６ Look! I was healed
In May 2020, I was going to take a second Bible art exhibition when the Coronavirus pandemic came over the world.
But I understood it is impossible to plan to take place on schedule. So, I delayed it just one year later.
And I received this happening as a gift from God for a new painting.
The Gospel According to John said that All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made.
So, it means that the Coronavirus is made through Him. Then what did it happen for? The answer is in The Bible.
The Gospel According to Luke chapter 17 said that it happened as He went to Jerusalem and that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
Then as He entered a certain village, He met ten guys who were lepers, who stood afar off.
And they lifted their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" So, when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests."
And so, it was that as they went, they were cleansed. I painted this theme and put my idea on that. My main theme is joy.
In my painting, those ten guys took off all their black clothes before showing themselves to the priests for joy.
This painting represents the moment of joy when they are cleansed and going to a new world.
John also said in his Gospel that In Him was life, and life was the light of men.
And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. In my painting, black clothes mean darkness.
And Jesus is the light. So, I believe that God opens a new world through the Coronavirus pandemic by Him.
Also, another point of this theme is that he who returned and gave Jesus thanks was a Samaritan who was a foreigner, as we are the same.
