☆ＮＯ ５５ Mary of two (Now I see.)
At the fisherman’s room. This is a dialogue between Mary and Mary Magdalene.
Mary Mag.
He is the light. He came into my breast.
And he has ravished my heart with a strong flash and strong voice like thunder. Now wicked men were gone. Besides him nothing.
Mary.
Yes, He shows strength with light.
Mary Mag.
He regarded my lowly state of me.
Mary.
Yes, He has destroyed the evil spirits, and also exalted lowly persons.
Mary Mag.
Yes, indeed but I say. Who are you?
Mary.
He is Jesus, my son. I am Mary, the same name as you.
Mary Mag.
Mary! O! No! Mother, I love him. I am following him.
My soul magnifies him and my spirit has rejoiced in him, my savior.
Mary.
I know your feelings.
Mary Mag.
Do you know about me?
Oh boy, shame on me! I am all naked but you took away my reproach among people. Thank you so much. You helped my life.
Mary.
No problem. You are just a newborn baby.
Happy new birthday, and Welcome to our family.
You are a good daughter.
Mary Mag.
Am I a good daughter?
Mary.
Yes, if you believe Him you are one of our family.
Mary Mag.
Once I fall in love with someone, my love runs very deep. You know.
Mary.
Yes, I know but you do love Him as your elder brother, don't you?
Mary Mag.
Mother, now for you say so I do. Because I was blind but, now I see.
Mary.
Very good. He loves you as His younger sister, and you will know Him who is the son of God sooner or later.
The Bible (Mark 16-9) said that now when He rose early on the first day of the week,
He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.
So, we understand that she had a very close relationship with Jesus.
Magdalene means piscatorial town. So, she may be in a close relationship with fishermen.
And I supposed she was a young widow. Because she worked for the fishermen's house.
But she had had many troubles with them. they may be unclean spirits.
So, she needed help. Jesus said, “but if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.”
and Jesus also said “When an unclean spirit goes out of man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says,’
I will return to my house from which I came.’ “And when he comes, he finds it swept and put in order.
Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”
So, Mother Mary thought that Mary Magdalene had better belong to Jesus’s family to protect herself.
Therefore Mary Magdalene follows Him with Mother Mary until His end.
