The time has come to decide on her as Savior's Mother. The moment, Mary passed the point with no return.
And Mary certainly heard the voice of God.
"I will be to him a Father. And He shall be to Me a Son."
The Epistle to the Hebrews said that for the word of God is living and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight,
but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
So, Mary designates her young flesh for childbirth of the son of God. And she gives her account to God.
Mary once prayed that He who is mighty will do a great thing for her.
God visited Mary as he had said, and God did into her as she prayed.So, she fulfills her hope now.
"Shining" in contrapposto, represents this ideal female beauty, and you might have an impression of sensuous and erotic.
But I thought that it was fit for her who would be a great mother.
Because the mother of Jesus must be a symbol of women who were made in God-likeness, let alone the most attractive woman.
Also, from the biblical perspective, this painting represents a symbol of the Virgin Mary.
I drew a beam that pierces Mary's body, it is a symbol of pregnancy and it also means she has been a virgin yet.
And the golden pair of compasses surrounding her are the compasses of God who designed mankind and the compass by which Jesus born of her will lead humanity out of darkness and onto the path of light.
Matthew said that so all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."
For Jesus is giving eternal life to us, the young olive crown well fits her who gives birth to Him. Amen!
