™‚m‚n 48 Rejoice
The rise of Jesus is the highlight of the four Gospels.
But they were a little different from each other. Of course, the fact is one.
So, I tried adding up them and adapted them in time order each other like this.
Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary, and Salome bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him.
And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.
His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow.
And the guards shook for fear of him, and become like dead men. But the angel answered and said to women,
gDo not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go, tell His disciples and Peter that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.h
So, Mother Mary and Salome went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to bring His disciples word.
But Mary Magdalene stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb.
And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
Then they said to her, gWoman, why are you weeping?h She said to them, gBecause they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.h
Now when she said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know it was Jesus.
Jesus said to her, gWoman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?h
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, gSir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.h
Jesus said to her, gMary!h She turned and said to Him, gRabboni!h. Jesus said to her, gDo not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them,
eI am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.fh Then Mary Magdalene left there and followed Mother Mary and her sister Salome who went first quickly.
Now when Mother Mary and Salome ran to bring His disciples' word, Jesus appeared suddenly and met them, saying, gRejoice!h.
Then Mary Magdalene came there. So, they came and held Him by feet and worshiped Him altogether. Mother Mary pointed to Mary Magdalene and asked Him gHave you met her already?h.
Because Mary saw the cloth that Mary Magdalene had put on Jesusfs shoulder. And Jesus answered gShe is my beloved daughter, also you are the same too. Every believer shall be my child as I told you.h
Mary Magdalene welcomed Jesus again with a beam of big joy. This painting represents this moment.
And also, represents the fact that Jesus is able to move in a moment.
Jesus who is risen has spiritual flesh, the first fruit of immortal life. So, He is living God forever. Amen.
