☆ＮＯ 40 Wading pool ( Happy recollection)
When there was a little distance to go to Jericho, they rested near a winding river of the Jordan.
It was about noon. villagers had gone away to buy food. But Joseph and Mary stayed there to rest.
Mary wearied from her journey, sat on a stone.
It was a hot day, so Mary asked Joseph for a drink, but he said to her "I suppose a little walk might be good.
Because it is a fine day is not? So, come with me to the river.
I think you might get a kick out of it." Mary rose to her feet and walked. His kindness gave her great comfort.
But Mary said in her mind, "Is My pregnant shape beautiful? or ugly like a toad?" Joseph did not speak. And he marched forth to the river.
Mary followed him silently. He was just nervous. Because this was the first time they were two alone. Then the hot weather tempted them to go into the river.
They were wading in the pool of the Jordan river. Mary was staggering and stumbled on a stone. And Joseph helped to support her by laughing heartily.
Mary looked at him and thought he was a jolly person. They will be joyful young couples like modern-day high school boys and girls soon.
And she relaxed. And said herself. That's it. Everything OK. Mary found something that she wanted. And she has forgotten being pregnant for joy.
She also absorbed playing in a pool of water with him. So, she jumped in great shape and walked around in the shallows many times.
Mary got a kick out of it. This painting represents their recreational time only once on the journey.
And this was also their unforgettable memory of the honeymoon.
