A new report from the U.S. Defense Department says China is the country's most serious challenge to security.

The Pentagon released the 2022 National Defense Strategy on Thursday. The document says China has expanded and modernized its forces with the goal of offsetting U.S. military advantages.

The Pentagon also released a nuclear posture review. It discussed growing concerns about nuclear and missile developments in China, North Korea, and Russia.
