U.S. entrepreneur Elon Musk says a patient who received a brain-chip implant by a firm he co-founded is able to control a computer mouse using just their thoughts.
Musk said in an online event Monday the patient seems to have made a full recovery and "is able to control the mouse, move the mouse around the screen just by thinking."
Some U.S. media outlets are reporting no videos or other objective evidence have been presented and academic studies and other types of third-party verification have not been completed.
Universities and businesses are researching brain-computer interface technology to enable people with physical disabilities to control computers by thought.
