Princess Aiko, the daughter of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, has attended coming-of-age celebratory events. She turned 20 on Wednesday.
- 天皇陛下と皇后陛下の娘である愛子さまが、成人を祝う行事に出席されました。愛子さまは水曜日に20歳になられました。
The princess visited imperial sanctuaries dedicated to her ancestors on Sunday.
- 愛子さまは日曜日に、祖先がまつられた皇室の神聖な場所を訪問されました。
She reported her attainment of adulthood to her parents and appeared in front of reporters.
- 愛子さまは両親（である天皇皇后両陛下）に成人に達したことを報告し、報道陣の前に姿を見せられました。
The princess wore a tiara and a robe embellished with the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Precious Crown that she received from the emperor.

She also visited Emperor Emeritus Akihito and Empress Emerita Michiko at their temporary residence in Tokyo. The princess met her grandparents for the first time in about a year and nine months due to the pandemic.

Princess Aiko returned to the palace to receive congratulatory greetings from members of the imperial family.
