Space travel isn't just for astronauts anymore. Business magnate Richard Branson has successfully flown into space in a rocket plane developed by his firm, Virgin Galactic.
宇宙旅行は、もはや宇宙飛行士のためだけのものではありません。実業界の大物リチャード・ブランソン氏は自身の会社「ヴァージン・ギャラクティック」が開発した宇宙船に乗り、宇宙空間に到達することに成功しました。
The plane called Unity took off from New Mexico on Sunday. It climbed to an altitude of about 86 kilometers above Earth, which is defined as space by the U.S. Air Force.
「ユニティ」と呼ばれる宇宙船は、日曜日にニューメキシコから離陸しました。「ユニティ」はアメリカ空軍により宇宙と定義づけられている、地表からおよそ８６キロメートルの高度まで上昇しました。

Unity returned to the spaceport about one hour after its departure. The business of space tourism is about to get competitive.

In June, Virgin Galactic obtained a license for space flights with commercial passengers. The company plans to start operations soon.
