日本から直接送られた灯籠が期日までに到着しなかったため、今回のイベントで使用することは できませんでした。しかし、これらの灯籠は、数ヶ月後に予定 されている「核兵器禁止条約（TPNW）」締約国会議に向けた 一連のイベントの中で活用する予定です。		As the lanterns sent directly from Japan did not arrive in time, we were unable to use them during this event. However, they will be used in the coming months as part of further events we will organise in preparation for the Review Conference of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).

ブリュッセルの　ジュリア・ボーディンさんからのメッセージ 追悼するだけでは不十分です。   広島と長崎への原爆投下を追悼するにあたり、私たちは81年前に起きた出来事だけでなく、   二度と繰り返してはならないことにも思いを馳せます。 被爆者や被爆樹木が伝えてきた証言に   敬意を表し、核兵器の存在しない世界を築くという決意を新たにします。   だからこそ、パックス・クリスティ・インターナショナルは「ヒロシマ・コヴェントリー・   クラブ」と共に、「平和の灯籠―広島から世界へ」キャンペーンを展開しています。   灯籠流しの伝統に触発されたこの取り組みにおいて、 一つひとつの灯籠は単なる追悼のしるしにとどまりません。   それは、核兵器による安全保障という虚構の約束を拒絶し、公正な平和を築こうという呼びかけなのです。     それぞれの灯籠には、記憶が込められています。   それぞれの灯籠には、約束が込められています。     *ジュリア・ボーディンさんはパックスクリスティ・インターナショナルのアドボケーターでコベントリー会の「灯籠 プロジェクト」とコラボして、2026年「ヒロシマの灯籠を世界へ」を企画した人です。

Message from Giulia Bordin in Brussels Remembrance without action is not enough.   As we commemorate the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we remember not   only what happened 81 years ago, but what must never happen again. We honour the wit-   ness of the Hibakusha and the Hibakujumoku, and renew our commitment to a world where   nuclear weapons have no place.   That is why Pax Christi International, together with the Hiroshima Coventry Club, is carrying   the "Lanterns for Peace: From Hiroshima to the world" campaign.   Inspired by the tradition of floating lanterns, each lantern becomes more than an act of remembrance:   it is a call to reject the false promise of security through nuclear weapons and to build a just peace.   Each lantern carries a memory.   Each lantern carries a promise.     *Giulia bordin is an adovocater of the Pax Christy International, and organized the "Lanterns from Hiroshim to the World," iniciative in 2026, cooperating with Hiroshima Coventry Club's Touro Project.
