Quantum computer is useless

Sydney quantum computer improving skin cancer is a lie.

Just one ion controlled by laser light was treated as a ( fake overhyped ) quantum computer simulating molecular dynamics, which is useless and No quantum computation nor quantum mechanical prediction.

(Fig.1)  We are repeatedly brainwashed by all the media, academia, corporations into falsely thinking quantum mechanics and computers are promising.

We are brainwashed by all the media about science.

We have been brainwashed by all the media, academia, corporations into falsely believing quantum mechanics with fantasy parallel universes is useful and able to magically predict any values, which is false, for investment and educational frauds.

We have been brainwashed by all the media, academia and corporations into falsely believing quantum mechanics with fantasy parallel universes is useful for modern technology such as transistors and sensors, and able to magically predict anything.

Actually quantum mechanics cannot solve its Schrödinger equation nor predict any multi-electron atomic energies, much less simulate molecules or contribute to any technology.

This current mainstream fictional quantum mechanics is not only useless but also harmful, misleading us into spending more (taxpayers') money which is used to control all the media for spreading overhyped fake news for collecting more money in (impractical) quantum computers and AI, which just increases more victims of today's fake science in researchers, students, people across the world.  ← vicious cycle.

Overhyped quantum computers are useless, harmful.

Overhyped quantum computers are too error-prone to give right answers, impractical forever, exploited only for investment and educational fraud to increase victims of fake science across the world.

The overhyped quantum computers based on fantasy parallel-universe-speed-up cannot factor even simple 21 (= even 15 cannot be factored by illusory quantum computer speed-up without cheating ), much less simulate molecules or AI, contrary to overhyped news spread for investment frauds.

This-lower-Still at the theoretical stage (2026) says  -- Useless quantum
"Despite the results, the study remains largely theoretical. The experiments are based on numerical simulations rather than physical quantum hardware (= No real quantum computers are available ). Current quantum computers are limited by noise, error rates and the difficulty of maintaining stable qubits. Scaling from tens of logical qubits to the hundreds or more needed for practical deployment remains a significant challenge."

↑ So the current (fake) quantum computers are useless, too error-prone to give right answers.  The overhyped quantum computer (or misleading quantum-inspired ) algorithm was conducted by quantum simulators (= just classical computers ) instead of real quantum computers.

Just One ion = a fake quantum computer

Sydney university used only one trapped ion controlled by laser light as a fake quantum computer allegedly simulating some molecules, which is useless, with No quantum computation nor quantum mechanical prediction.

The recent overhyped quantum research conducted by Sydney university used only one single trapped ion or a single atom (= Not a quantum computer ) allegedly mimicking some molecular chemical dynamics.

↑ All they did was just control the single ion's energy and vibration by laser light whose parameters were artificially adjusted (= No quantum computation nor quantum mechanism prediction ) to mimic some irrelevant molecular energy or vibration excited by light ( this-p.2-Figure 1d,e ).

So this Sydney research (= using only one ion's two energy levels as one qubit 0 or 1 ) is useless and completely irrelevant to quantum computer simulation of molecules, contrary to their overhyped fake news claiming it could help skin cancer research or suncreeen design (= impossible ).

Fake news on one-ion quantum simulation

Just illuminating a single ion by laser light cannot simulate molecules nor become a quantum computer, contrary to overhyped fake news.

This overhyped fake news on Sydney's just one ion quantum simulation ↓

6th-paragraph says  -- Fake news ↓
"We experimentally simulated how specific real molecules behave after absorbing light."

7th-paragraph says  -- Fake quantum computer
"We used what is called a trapped-ion quantum computer (= false, they just used only one single ion or one qubit, Not a quantum computer ). This works by manipulating individual atoms in a vacuum chamber, held in place with electromagnetic fields."

8th-paragrph says
"Normally, quantum computers store information using quantum bits, or qubits. However, to simulate the behaviour of the molecules, we also used vibrations of the atoms in the computer called “bosonic modes”."

9th-paragraph says
"This technique is called mixed qudit-boson (= MQB ) simulation"

10th-paragraph says  -- Molecules absorbing light
"We simulated the behaviour of three molecules absorbing light: allene, butatriene, and pyrazine. Each molecule features complex electronic and vibrational interactions after absorbing light,"

11th-paragraph says  -- One single atom
"Our simulation, which used a laser and a single atom (= Not a quantum computer ) in the quantum computer, "

14th-paragraph says  -- An ion in laser
"By contrast, our approach accomplished the task by zapping a single trapped ion with a single laser pulse (= just a single ion is Not a quantum computer )"

3rd-last-paragraph says  -- Useless quantum computer
"This work is an important step forward for quantum chemistry. Even though current quantum computers are still limited in scale (= still useless fake quantum simulation ), "

One single ion is useless for cancer research

This research just controlled only one single ion by laser light to recklessly simulate some molecules, which is useless for cancer research, contrary to overhyped fake news.

↑ Just illuminating a single trapped ion by laser light to mimic or simulate some molecules is useless for any technology and unable to simulate a real molecule, but this site's first exaggerates
"Experiment using a Sydney quantum computer (= just one trapped ion, Not a quantum computer ) could lead to improved skin cancer research or sunscreen design (= impossible )."

Research paper on the single ion's quantum simulation

Illuminating one trapped ion with laser light whose energy was adjusted beforehand to mimic or simulate irrelevant molecular energy with No quantum computation.

This research paper ( this-4th-paragraph-link ) ↓

p.2-Figure 1d says  -- Molecules vibrated by light
"Butatriene molecule with its electronic states represented by orbitals (pink and cyan) that differ between the two states, and the two vibrational modes Q1 (red) and Q2 (dark blue)."

p.2-Figure 1e says  -- Molecules = one ion ?
"Molecular electronic and vibrational degrees of freedom can both be mapped onto a mixed qudit-boson (MQB) simulator consisting here of one trapped ion. Potentials and vibronic couplings are induced with lasers"

p.2-right-last-paragraph says  -- No quantum computation
"To represent molecular systems, MQB simulators use vibronic coupling (VC) Hamiltonians (= total energy ), which are widely used to represent potential energy surfaces and their couplings. The parameters of a VC Hamiltonian can be obtained beforehand using electronic-structure theory (= so molecular Hamiltonian energy parameters must be obtained beforehand instead of quantum computation )"

One ion mimics or simulates irrelevant molecules ?

Frequency and intensity of laser light interacting with one trapped ion were artificially adjusted beforehand to mimic or simulate some irrelevant molecules without quantum computation nor quantum mechanical prediction.

↑ The same research paper on one ion simulator ↓

p.3-left-2nd-paragraph says  -- One ion in laser
"First, the initial wavefunction is prepared by exciting the qudit (= one trapped ion ) and displacing the relevant motional modes. Second, using laser-ion interactions with frequencies and intensities chosen to reproduce the molecular VC Hamiltonian, the simulator is evolved for some duration"  ← Laser light absorbed into one ion was adjusted to reproduce or mimic some illusory molecular motion with No prediction.

p.3-left-3rd-paragraph says
"We simulate the photoinitiated non-adiabatic dynamics in three molecules:... Allene is photoionised to a degenerate pair of π states that are coupled via symmetry-breaking vibrational modes: bond alternation and torsion"

p.3-equation-(1) and Table 1  -- Use experimental parameters
shows this research used parameters of molecular energy (= E ) and vibration (= ω ) predetermined in previous literature instead of the quantum computation in this research.

p.3-right-B. says  -- One ion mimics molecular energy ?
"Each term in the LVC Hamiltonian H (= total energy ) can be implemented on a trapped-ion MQB simulator consisting of a qubit (= just one trapped ion ) representing the electronic states of the molecule and two motional modes of the ion in its harmonic confining potential representing the vibrations"

p.3-right-B. says  -- Laser light adjustment for simulation
"The vibronic couplings are implemented by tunable, laser driven spin-dependent forces "
"qubit operator, which can be adjusted by the laser phase, Ω is the Rabi frequency that is tuneable with the laser intensity, and δ is the adjustable detuning of the laser frequency from the motional mode"  ← Laser light tuned by a classical computer or something beforehand, which shone on one trapped ion, was irrelevant to quantum computation

p.4-left-A. says  -- Encode molecular energy into one ion
"We encode the two molecular electronic states into the two magnetically insensitive hyperfine levels of the ion's 2 S1/2 ground state"
"The molecular vibrational modes, B1 and B2, are encoded in the vibrational modes along the radial x and y directions"

p.6-left-3rd-paragraph says  -- Adjust parameters, No prediction
"MQB simulators are programmable, allowing us to simulate the dynamics of very different molecules simply by adjusting experimental parameters to match the different VC Hamiltonian in the same experimental apparatus. This programming is carried out through software updated (= on a classical computer ) experimental parameters, without the need for hardware modification"

Using predetermined parameters without quantum computation.

This research just used energy parameters predetermined beforehand instead of quantum computation nor quantum mechanical prediction.

↑ So this fake quantum computer (= just a single trapped ion controlled by laser light ) cannot calculate or predict any energies of molecules.

Parameters of molecular energies must be obtained from experiments or calculated by classical computers in advance ( this-p.3-Table 1 ) based on impractical quantum mechanical Schrödinger equation.

↑ Energy of laser light interacting with one trapped ion was artificially adjusted (= by a classical computer software or something without quantum computation ) to mimic those predetermined molecular energy, which is useless, Not simulation of real molecules, because energies of one ion and the irrelevant molecules are completely different things.

Quantum mechanics cannot predict molecules.

Quantum mechanics cannot solve its Schrödinger equation nor predict energies of any multi-electron atoms or molecules, so useless in simulation.

Quantum mechanics cannot solve its Schrödinger equation nor predict energies of any multi-electron atoms or molecules.

As the unsolvable Schrodinger equation's fake solutions, physicists can only artificially choose fake trial antisymmetric wavefunctions (= unphysical Slater determinants ) out of infinite choices ( this-4th~5th-paragraphs ) to find ones giving the lowest energy, which takes infinite time, impractical, cannot predict anything in the impractical quantum approximate variational methods such as Hartree-Fock and configuration interaction (= CI,  this-p.4-p.12,  this-p.3 ).

No quantum computation nor quantum mechanical prediction

Instead of the useless fake quantum computer (= just one trapped ion ) that cannot simulate anything, this research used molecular energy parameters predetermined by artificially-chosen fake trial wavefunctions in impractical quantum mechanics that cannot predict anything.

Calculations of energies of these molecules excited by light (= in this one-ion research ) often depend on these impractical quantum mechanical approximation such as configuration interaction (= CI ) or coupled cluster ( this-p.2-right-last-paragraph,   this-p.11-right ), which cannot predict anything due to their artificial choice of trial wavefunctions (= Slater determinants, this-p.1-introduction ) or basis set functions for unsolvable Schrodinger equations ( this-p.2-introduction ).

This or this-p.25(or p.15)-last~p.26 says  -- Unsolvable Schrodinger equation
" The electronic Hamiltonian H (= Schrodinger equation ) in eq. 2.6 can be solved exactly for hydrogen. For atoms containing many electrons, obtaining highly accurate wave functions is nontrivial. Calculations often rely on the Hartree-Fock method in which an approximate antisymmetric wave function, or Slater determinant... A configuration state function (CSF) is a linear combination of Slater determinants"

This-p.5-3rd~4th-paragraphs say  -- No quantum mechanical prediction
" A convenient choice of basis function... where γ is an adjustable parameter"  ← Choosing basis set wavefunctions and free parameters for unsolvable Schrodinger equation means quantum mechanics (= and its approximate variational methods ) cannot predict molecular energies ( this-(9.80),  this or this-p.4-1st-paragraph ).

As a result, neither quantum mechanics nor quantum computers can predict energies of any atoms or molecules ( this or this-p.14(or p.20)-3rd-last-paragraph ).

Unreal quantum mechanics hampers science

It is far better to use experimental values than to waste too much tine in meaningless quantum mechanical calculations that cannot predict anything.

It is far better to use experimental values from the beginning than to waste too much time in these meaningless too time-consuming quantum mechanical methods that cannot predict anything.

But the unphysical quantum mechanical antisymmetric wavefunction where each unreal electron must exist in all atoms can Not explain real electrons moving from one orbitals to another in actual biological reactions nor express a real atom with shape or boundary.

In order to protect this old impractical quantum mechanical shapeless atomic model or unreal antisymmetric wavefuntions, universities and corporations intentionally block making useful multi-probe atomic force microscopes that can directly clarify real atomic structures by using a real atomic model with shape.

To hide this inconvenient truth of today's deadend science for investment and educational scams exploiting (impractical) quantum computers or AI, they need to spread overhyped fake news everyday by controlling all the media, brainwashing us for long years.
