The site is located in a relatively spacious residential area, and the surrounding terrain slopes downward to the southwest.
The site itself has a difference in elevation of about 1m from north to south.

As the designer is residing in his own home, the condition was that the residence and workplace be built at low cost.
Expanding space is planned in advance for future increases in staff numbers.
(In 2005, a loft was added above the bedroom. Further expansion is possible above the bathroom.)

As the occupant is a single person, the program was simplified, and the life was put into a long tube,
which was then bent three-dimensionally to create a three-dimensional one-room plan that divides the space.

With this method, the interior and exterior space were determined at the same time, and the design was completed by creating openings where necessary. We tried to avoid arbitrary manipulation as much as possible and left the ceiling structural materials exposed,
with the aim of creating an "unfinished" box that would serve as the "foundation" for daily life.

However, after moving in, we felt that there were problems with the appearance of the facade, so we are currently adding screens made of wooden laths.
