On
7 Mar. We visited to hospital which is club president's and former
Difence minister's house
which is the first club presidents. In the
afternoon a Finnish missionary came to my house.
We went to hot
spring with my church friends.
In the evening we had the delightful
dinner together with another friends.
On 8 Mar. They had a Rotary
meeting at Nagaizumi Rotary Club which is the founding father's
Memorial
in Japan. They are both Rotarian in Finland.
In the afternoon,my friend
guided around in Mishima on behalf of us. I worked on whole day in
my office. I have taken some leaves of absence.
In the evening
we have a nice tea-ceremony dishes by my friends.
My daughter came
to my house we have had a nice time till late.
On 9.Mar. My
daughter brought them along Tokyo and Yokohama. I worked and
my husband had
a little rest with his pretty aged dog named
Momo in our house. Dinner had fun a lot.
On 10 Mar. We visited
to commercial zone in Shimizu town. Member's fibrillary working
place is
funny and next we visited so many foods center. In the afternoon
they have had shopping time. Culminate in our last night in
Japan, they took Finnish Sauna in my house early evening.
Finally
dinner have eaten 'sukiyaki'. They went their gait
raw egg. They don't eat uncooked egg.
We talked over bottles
of wine about something. We talked about next visiting each
other.
In this time,they are very busy in the matter of minutes every
day.10 days stay is short, but they
have met so many wonderful
ladies and boys. Hiroshima has impressed them greatly as 'No
more Hiroshima'. Then her impressions are as follows. We are very
in love with Japan. It is the 2nd time
we are in this country, but
we have very good relationship with Japan through our friend Yasuko
Shingai since 1958.
Next, she answered to Mayor's questions at courtesy visitting.
We
were pleased that we came into contact with friendly and
wonderful person,so many.
Usually when we open the window at
woke up, we can look at Mt .Fuji ; that is wonderful.
As medical
doctors we were very impressed about the old people care-home
in Gotemba ; about
the signs and bottoms on the street and halls for
blind people, about the Japanese hygienic equipments.
We were very pleased about Shizuka Arakawa's Gold Medal, and F,Suguri,
too.
We are very great full to have met honorable Mayor of City
Numazu.
Japan and Finland have about the same land-area, but Japan
has 125 million inhabitants. Finland
has 5 million. So we feel
us like a little sister and a little brother to Japan.
