How to Apply for RASA’s Financial Assistance 2017

 

1. Aim: To assist Asian students studying in Japan to live and study more comfortably for them to contribute to development of their home countries.

 

2. Qualifications: The applicant must be an Asian student of a university / college or a similar educational institution, satisfying one of the following conditions:

   i)   An applicant is thirty years old or older as of April 1, 2017;

   ii)   A “kenkyu-sei (research student)” or “bekka-sei (student in a special course)”;

   iii)  A refugee or asylum seeker.

 

3. Number of awardees: To be determined (8 people in FY2016).

 

4. Amount of assistance: 100,000 yen (lump sum; once for all; handed over at an awarding ceremony).

 

5. How to apply: The following two items are to be sent to RASA’s address indicated below by May 10, 2017 (Need not reach the address on the date. The applicant has to drop the application by the date.)

   i)   Completed application form

   ii)  Student Registration Certificate issued by the school (or a good substitute)

7. Awarding the Assistance: Applicants who are selected for awarding assistance will be informed by e-mail or telephone. The completion of selection will be notified at this RASA’s web site. Those, who are not informed by RASA secretariat after the announcement of completion of selection, shall kindly understand that they are not selected. The financial assistance will be awarded at the Awarding Ceremony which will take place in July 2017.
