Niukanshofu-jinja, Niukanshofu shrine ’OΆŠ―Θ•„_ŽΠ

Niukanshofu-jinja is located at Kudoyama town in Wakayama Prefecture.
Originally this shrine was dedicated to Niu Myojin and Koya Myojin, the gurdian dieties of the privileged estate of Kongobuji called "Kanshofusho".
The shrine was called "Jintsuji-shichishamyojin" which literally means Jintsuji temple and seven dieties shirine.
Until the Shintoism and Buddhism Separation Decree was issued in the 19th century, there used to be the Buddhist temple buidings in its compound and this shrine had received worship in tandem with the adjacent Jison-in.
This is a property demonstrating the facts related to the Shinto-Buddhist fusion unique to Japan.
The Honden buildings were recontracted during the 16th century.
It takes 25 minites walk from Kudoyama station of the Nankai Koya Line.(Y.N)
