Try Attaching the Leg Bands

• If you have had the special size leg bands for canary, try to attach it before 10days after hatching.7 days chicks are best.
• The younger easily drops the band off.

Here is a chick 7 days after hatching. Every time they give you droppings when holded.
	1.Pick a chick up from behind and strech theleg joint strait.

	2.Then it will strech its own fingers. Put the three front fingers in the band togather. The post finger is out of the band yet.
	3.Slightly shaking push up the band toward the finger joints.Here is the first obstacle. You may drop oil or liquid soap.

	4.Never force, keep tension constantly, while waiting the finger joint come through. In time the lump will creep in and out.
	5.The post finger and the lower leg is inside the bands now.The second obstacle is the bulb of the post finger.
	6.Keep tension until the bulb creep in the band by itself.

	7.Slide the finger to release the nail tip.

8.For I have took time to take pictures, the fingers of the chick turned ruddy.

• A few days after applying, check the bands every day so as not to fall off.
• You have to take care of the chick itself also.
• Mother bird sometimes throw out the bands from the nest to clean the space, dragging the chicks.
