| I became three years old on August 6th. Otomesan and Yamatosan gave me a birthday present with their pictures.. I was so surprised to see the present, becasue he was so fat with a wide hole in his back. |

What does he eat? It may be difficult for him to be full. He seems to have a good appetite. |

Yukasan, a very beautiful woman, gave him food, telling me that he liked
earth, water and flowers. I really don't understand why he doesn't eat icecream and fruit, but he looks very happy. I think there is no accouting for tastes. |

| A teacher was sent from Seattle in America by Tim. I don't know why he knows me that I don't like studying. Yottyan and tsugichan want me to be much smarter so they receive him warmly. Anyway, I have to thank you for his kindness. |

| They live with Tim and his wife, Rika. They look very clever different
from me. Rika said to me in her letter, "Fuh, however old you are,
you are able to go to school here in America if you relly want to study.
Why don't you make an effort ?" Now I am three years old, I will turn over a new leaf. |

This is a birthday present from Sarah and Jasper in California. I wonder what it is. It is so cute. Yottyan says that it is a good charm to be wise. I doubt what he is saying. |
