March. 26th, 2010 NEW! Gold Medalist at World Figure Championships 2010
On March 26th, 2010, Olympic bronze medalist Daisuke Takahashi has won
the gold medal at the World Figure Skating Championships at Turin, Italy.
Daisuke is the first Japanese man to claim the title.
Daisuke two-footed a quadruple flip which is the first attempt quad in
an official competition.
Daisuke thinks he only performed about 60-70% here compared to the Olympics,
and almost thought of withdrawing since he had so much trouble getting
motivated after the Olympics. For next season, he wants to do one quad
in the SP and two in the LP. "I had my sights set more on next year's
World Championships rather than this year's. This time there were skaters
who didn't come and those who were tired from the Olympics. I want to see
how well I can perform in a competition where everyone is fully focused.
I want to aim for the gold medal next year too."
March. 18th, 2010 Won a Bronze Medal in Vancouver Olympic Games 2010
On March 19th, 2010, Daisuke Takahashi placed 3rd(247.23) at "2010
Olympic Games" Vancouver in Canada. Daisuke is the first Japanese
man to get a medal in Olympic Games.
--You've won Japan's first medal for men's singles.
I want to take pride in it and compliment myself for it. But I wasn't able
to give my ideal performance here, so I want to use this as a start towards
the next stage. more details
