The mountain stirr'd its bushy crown， And，as tradition teaches， Young ashes pirouetted down Coquetting with young beeches. And shepherds from the mountain-eaves Look'd down，half-pleased，half-frightehd， As dash'd about the drunken leaves The random sunshine lighten'd. |
山は揺らした その茂みの冠を そして伝統が教えているように 若いトネリコの木々は踊っていた 戯れながら 若いブナの木々と そして羊飼いたちは山の稜線から 見下ろし 半ば喜び 半ば怯えていた 酔った葉のまわりを突き抜けて ランダムな日差しが光っていた |
