白く月明りの中 長い道が横たわる 月は照っている 空しく頭上に 白く月明りの中 長い道が横たわる ぼくを引き離す道だ 恋する人のもとから じっと動かない 茂みは風もなく じっと じっと影は留まっている ぼくの足は月に照らされた砂の上を 進んで行く 果てのない道を 世界は丸いんだ そう旅人たちは言う だから どんなに真っすぐに道が伸びていても ひたすら行け ひたすら行け 大丈夫 この道もいずれ戻ってくるのだから だが その円周が連れ戻してくれる前に 遠くへ 遠くへと まずは行かなくてはいけない 白く月明りの中 長い道が横たわる ぼくを引き離す道だ 恋する人のもとから |
詩はなかなかに深刻で重たい内容ですが、民謡調にまとめたサマヴェルにあってはこれも暗く沈みはするものの淡々と美しい音楽にまとめています。ただやはりこの歌曲集の中では地味になってしまっているでしょうか。
