There is no rose of such virtu， As is the rose that bare Jesu. Alleluia. For in this rose contained was Heaven and earth in litel space， Res miranda. By that rose we may well see There be one God in persons three， Pares forma. The aungels sungen the shepherds to: Gloria in excelsis Deo: Gaudeamus. Leave we all this worldly mirth， And follow we this joyful birth; Transeamus. Transeamus. Alleluia. Res miranda. Pares forma. Gaudeamus. Transeamus. |
これほど徳の高いバラはありません イエス様をお産みになられたこのバラほどの アレルヤ なぜならバラの中には含んでいるのですから 天と大地を この小さな隙間の中に 何と不思議なことでしょう このバラによって私たちは知るのです 三位一体の神様がおられるということを 人の姿をなさっている 天使たちは羊飼いに歌いかけたのです “いと高きところに神の栄光あれ！”と さあ 喜びましょう われら皆 この世の悦楽など捨てて この喜びあふれる誕生につき従って行きましょう さあ 行きましょう アレルヤ、 何と不思議なこと。 人の姿をなさっている、 さあ 喜びましょう さあ 行きましょう |
これも同じく１４世紀作者不詳の詩から。ここで歌われるバラとは聖母マリアのことですね。最後はラテン語の典礼の言葉も交えながら敬虔に盛り上がって行きます。ハープの伴奏が絶妙な美しさです。
