On! Onward tramp steadily，onward tramp Resolute warriors pledged to Freedom's call. Onward tramp，e'en to the vale of Death， Sturdily marching on，through all. Right is might stronger than life， All foresworn foes their cause shall rue， So onward tramp sturdy to victory， Resolute heroes all，and true. What has been sown must e'er be reaped， War calls the world to Conscience's voice， Tho' blood may flow，and lov'd ones weep， Still shall the Nation's heart rejoice. Hold firm aloft the glorious flag， And bend the foe to Honor's sway， Onward tramp，steadily on， and hold aloft the glorious flag. Onward tramp，sturdily onward tramp， for verily Truth doth lead the way. |
