Now winter nights enlarge The number of their hours， And clouds their storms discharge Upon the airy towers; Let now the chimneys blaze And cups o'erflow with wine， Let well-tuned words amaze With harmony divine. Now yellow waxen lights Shall wait on honey Love， While youthful Revels，Masques，and Courtly sights， Sleep's leaden spells remove. This time doth well dispense With lover's long discourse; Much speech hath some defense， Though beauty no remorse. all do not all things well: Some measures comely tread， Some knotted Riddles tell， Some Poems smoothly read， The Summer hath his joys， And winter his delights; Though Love and all his pleasures are but toys， They shorten tedious nights. |
今冬の夜が拡げている その時間の幅を そして雲たちは嵐を解き放つ 風通しの良い塔の上に さあ 煙突を燃やそう そして杯をワインで溢れさせ 均整の取れた言葉で驚かせよう 聖なるハーモニーと共に！ 今黄色の蝋の灯りは 待っている 蜜の愛を 若々しい祝宴 仮面舞踏会 宮廷の光景は 眠りの鉛の呪文を解き放つ 今 時は十分に与えてくれる 恋人たちの長い会話の間を 多くの会話にはいくばくかの防御 だが美しさの悔いはない すべてがすべてうまくいくとは限らない いくつかの方策は見栄えよく仕組まれ いくつかの編まれた謎は語る いくつかの詩は滑らかに読まれて 夏は持つ 自らの喜びを そして冬にも自らの喜びが 愛も 冬のあらゆる喜びもただの玩具だが それは退屈な夜を短くしてくれる |
