Quantum computer using fantasy parallel worlds is just an "imaginary" target for journals and academia to get taxpayers' money.
Quantum computer research is deadend, No progress. The media uses vague, misleading phrases to deceive people and hide this inconvenient fact.
Different from the media hype, even in the latest research, quantum computer still consists only of a few bits. ← useless, Not a computer !
This news also uses vague phrases "a critical step for quantum computer ?" ← still useless, Not realized quantum computer at all.
They claim they could extend the very short lifetime of fragile quantum computer qubit to Only 55 nanoseconds. ← too short to be practical.
Quantum computer lifetime is how long they can keep fantasy parallel worlds = superposition = a dead and alive cat state, which can never be observed, so No proof.
Instead, they just observe each bit changing classically between two energy states, and call it parallel-world superposition. ← Nonsense, Not a proof of parallel worlds ( this p.34, this p.6, p.13 ).
And they use unreal quasiparticle to interpret the results.
This news also uses vague phrases "quantum computer have the potential .., but many problems remain .." ← still useless nothing realized.

The current "mainstream" physics is unreal 10-dimensional string theory. ← this is why the current physics is wrong.
This research "proposes" imaginary model saying our universe rides on an expanding bubble in extradimensions !? ← Not science at all !
They claim hypothetical dark energy with negative density in expanding universe is explained by unreal extradimension, string theory.
This string theory using wrong math cannot predict anything, because they claim string theroy consists of 10500 different worlds with different laws of physics.
As you see, the current physics lacks reality, and physicists waste their time in fiction.
(Fig.3) No solution → just "choose" trial functions ! = useless
This study claims we can never get exact solution of quantum mechanical Schrödinger equation even in small molecules, so they try to find a new way using imaginary quantum computer.
But this research just "proposes" some algorithm, Not experimental results, so meaningless.
And they use conventional classical computer ( Not quantum computer ) to estimate it ( see this abstract, Results and Discussion )
The point is Schrödinger equation cannot be solved except in hydrogen atom, so when the media says "solving Schrödinger equation", it's fake news.
They just choose some convenient fake solution with freely adjustable parameters, and integrate it, instead of solving it.
"Good guess" is everything, which is Not science but "art". ( this p.4 )
So as long as we use quantum mechanics, these researches are useless, meaningless, cannot predict anything forever.
This news uses vague phrases "provides physical insights into these questions ?" ← still useless, nothing realized.
They just use convenient fashionable words "machine learning" as a way of choosing artificial fake solution of unsolvable Schrödinger equation.
Quantum mechanics remains useless, "AI" is just as catchphrase to mislead investors.
