(Fig.1) ↓ Fake "future" target = quantum ?
Quantum mechanics invented 100 years ago is unrealistic and useless, relying on fictitious quasiparticles to explain all physical phenomena.
Quasiparticle is unreal, having fake (= effective ) mass and charge, which are freely-adjustable to deal with different phenomena, so meaningless in predicting new reactions.
For useless quantum physics to get research funds, physicists needed to create fake target = fictional quantum computer which is supposed to exploit fantasy parallel worlds for faster (← ? ) parallel computing ? ← still Not reality.
To hide the inconvenient fact that the current quantum physics is useless with No progress, academia spreads fake news to deceive people into falsely believing their researches are worth taxpayers' money.
If you carefully read each quantum technology news, you will notice they make No progress, just using misleading phrases to get your hopes up.
This week solid-physics is still full of unreal quasi-particle such as phonon ( this, this ), exciton ( this, this ), biexciton ( this ), polariton ( this, this ), skyrmion ( this ).
Other unreal quasiparticles are plasmon ( this, this ), magnon ( this ), Bogoliubov quasiparticle, Majorana fermion ( this ).
The first paragraph of this news just vaguely says "This could lead to the development of acoustic rectifiers devices .. with potential applications in communications technology ?" ← just talking about "imaginary future". Still useless research. Unreal quasiparticle magnon-phonon is used ( this abstract ).
The last of this news just vaguely says "The more that scientists learn about these 2-D materials, the closer they are to realizing potential applications, especially in next generation electronics and even quantum information ?" ← just talking about "imaginary future". Nothing is realized now. Unreal quasiparticle phonon and useless one-electron approximation DFT is used ( this p.6 left ).
The 2nd last paragraph of this news just vaguely says " As an immediate next step, the team will search for direct evidence of virtual photons (= self-contradictory unreal particle ) emerging during switching of designed quantum vacua ?" ← Pursuing imaginary particles meaninglessly forever is just a waste of time and money.
The first paragraph of this news just vaguely says "Quantum systems are notoriously prone to errors and noise. In order to overcome this and build a functional quantum computer, physicists should ideally understand the noise across an entire system. That has been out of reach until now ." ← just talking about "imaginary future". Nothing is realized now.
The 2nd paragraph of this news just vaguely says "The technical work will open new routes for general universal algorithms to send the temporal evolution of an arbitrary system backward in time (= fantasy ). This work only outlined the mathematical process of time reversal without experimental implementations." ← Just imaginary hypothesis with No experimental evidence.
The 4th last paragraph of this news just vaguely says "Universal time reversal algorithms might be used in the future to verify that a quantum computer operates correctly ?" ← just talking about "imaginary future". Still useless research. Time reversal (= time machine ? ) is just fantasy.
The 1st paragraph of this news just vaguely says "It promises to deliver new insights into electron motion, which is crucial in understanding material properties such as electrical conductivity ?" ← Nothing useful is specified, so still useless research.
The 1st paragraph of this news just vaguely says " This work could help us understand the spin states of quantum-entangled particles ?" ← Just speculation, still useless research. Quantum "entanglement" can neither send real information nor do any work, so meaningless, useless concept.
The 3rd paragraph of this news just vaguely says "Quantum cold-atom sensors designed to operate on the surface will be able to detect and monitor objects beneath the ground better than any current technology. However, little attention has been paid ..?" ← Because it's just talking about "imaginary future device", still useless research.
The last of this news just vaguely says "Their findings could now lead to important advances in our knowledge of how biomolecules are affected by high-velocity ion radiation; potentially leading to a better understanding of how cancer in cells can arise following radiation damage ?" ← just talking about "imaginary future". Nothing is realized now.
The 4th last paragraph of this news just vaguely says "The study highlights the possible limitations of using TRS-protected topological systems to develop quantum technologies. More specifically, the researchers observed that some topological phases are far less robust to environmental noise" ← Still impractical research.
The 4th and 5th paragraphs of this news just vaguely say "There are three known types of neutrinos: electron, muon and tau. About two decades ago, scientists found that they can morph from one type into another through a phenomenon called "neutrino oscillation .. Sterile neutrinos would not be directly detectable, but their oscillation with the three known neutrinos would provide a unique pathway ?"
↑ Just speculation, ghost-like neutrino itself cannot be detected directly, so "morph into another neutrino" has No evidence.
The last of this news just vaguely says "Therefore, further studies of the effect with more precision will be very interesting ?" ← "Interesting" without specifying any detailed benefit for us is a convenient word to hide uselessness of the current particle physics.
