FOREIGNERS URGE JAPAN TO EASE ENTRY BAN

The spread of omicron has led Japanese authorities to ban nearly all new foreign arrivals through the end of next month.
オミクロン株の広がりによって、日本政府は来月末までずっと、ほとんど全ての外国人の新規入国を禁止する事態になっています。
The move is increasingly unpopular among foreign students. Demonstrators have called on the government to ease the restrictions.
この動きは、外国人学生の間でますます不評となっています。デモの参加者は、日本政府にその制限を緩和するように求めました。
Protesters across eight countries gathered on Friday at Japanese embassies and other locations. Among them were people hoping to come to Japan for study and other purposes.
金曜日に、抗議者が8か国にわたって日本大使館やその他の場所に集まりました。その中には、勉学やその他の目的で日本に来ることを希望している人々がいました。
Some held placards with messages such as "Stop Japan's Ban" and "Waiting for one year."

"I want to say that I am ready to accept all Japan's terms. And when I come to Japan, I will do the whole, full quarantine and maintain the Japanese rules. So I request to Japan's government to let us – the international students – enter the country."
「日本の条件は全て受け入れるつもりだと申し上げたい。日本に行くときには全ての完全な検疫を受け、日本のルールを守ります。だから、日本政府に私たち世界からの留学生が入国できるようにお願いします」
The Immigration Services Agency says as of October 1, about 148,000 foreigners wanting to study at schools in Japan were unable to enter the country.
出入国在留管理庁によりますと、（2021年）10月1日の時点で、日本の学校への留学を望んでいるおよそ14万8,000人の外国人が入国できませんでした。
