In the United States, the Supreme Court has blocked a coronavirus vaccine mandate from the Biden administration. The measure requires large firms to fully vaccinate employees or test them at least once a week.
- アメリカでは、連邦最高裁判所がバイデン政権による（新型）コロナウイルスワクチン義務化の指令を差し止めました。その措置は、大きな規模の会社が従業員に完全にワクチン接種を行うか、少なくとも週に1回は検査をすることを義務づけています。
The mandate was aimed at businesses with over 100 employees and went into effect this month. Over half of U.S. states appealed the requirement, calling it unconstitutional.

The measure was implemented by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which is under the Labor Department.

In the decision issued on Thursday, the court said, "Although Congress has indisputably given the organization the power to regulate occupational dangers, it has not given that agency the power to regulate public health more broadly."

Biden expressed disappointment in the ruling, saying that the Supreme Court has chosen to block commonsense life-saving requirements.

Infections have recently been at record levels in the United States. But just over 62 percent of the country's population has been fully vaccinated.
