Officials have decided how many Olympic spectators will be cheering from the stands amid the coronavirus threat.
- 当局は、新型コロナウイルスの脅威がある中、何人のオリンピックの観客がスタンドから応援することになるかを決めました。
"At all venues, the number of spectators will be limited to 50 percent of the facility's capacity and up to 10,000. That will not include students and schoolchildren invited to watch the Games or their teachers."

Hashimoto announced the decision after a meeting between the Games organizing committee, the Japanese government, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and the International Olympic and Paralympic committees.

It's in line with the Japanese government's plan to ease the capacity limits from 5,000 to 10,000 next month after intensive virus measures are lifted.
